Not everyone gets to be fully seen in this lifetime.
But I was.
Sam didn’t just love me. He witnessed me. Every part of me. The fire, the flaws, the funny, the fierce, the faithful. His words weren’t just compliments—they were confirmations. That the way I move through life—the passion I pour, the joy I radiate, the service I give, the spiritual heartbeat I carry—was felt. Was real. Was sacred.
He wrote me a list. Pages of truth.
He said I was home. Not a place, but a presence. He said there is no home without me. That wherever I go, it becomes home because I bless it with my energy. My care. My spirit. He said I was the glue that held everyone together. Not because I was trying to be everything for everyone—but because I just am.
He said I was sexy, silly, soulful, and strong. That I made him laugh, made him grow, made him better. That I could wash your feet like Jesus one minute and make you feel like a superhero the next. That I affirmed, I loved, I gave, I served, I cheered. That I was a whole damn force.
Reading his words now, I cry. Not because I’m sad—but because that kind of love, that kind of recognition… it doesn’t die. It becomes part of your spirit. It becomes a mirror you return to when the world tries to forget who you are.
Sam saw me in a way no one else ever did.
And even though our chapter ended, I will never forget that I was loved this deeply. That someone wrote those words for me. That I was, and always will be, the kind of woman you write lists about. Not because I needed validation—but because God wanted me to remember.
I am the blessing. I am the presence. I am the home.
And I am still her.
And I loved the man.
Not just for the way he saw me, but for who he was to me.
For the memories, the laughter, the struggles, the dreams we dared to share.
I loved him in real time—with grace, with grit, with wild hope.
And I’ll always carry that kind of love with me—not as an ache, but as a reminder:
I am capable of loving this deep.
I am worthy of being seen this fully.
And I am forever changed because we met.
My True Love’s List — by Sam Osher
#1 Her Passion
Passionate love for life, for me, for our family, for God. Her devotion is not forced nor contrived. It flows naturally from her heart. She fights for love. She fights for us.
#2 Her Beauty
Her heart is open and vulnerable towards me and those she loves. She cultivates a life of love toward those around her. She serves others lovingly, humbles herself for others’ sake. She makes people feel special in a way I cannot. She can win any hearts or friendship—she sets her mind to win. She loves to communicate sincerely.
Obviously physically, she is very beautiful and takes care of herself. Dresses well. She is very sexy in many ways.
#3 She is FUN and Funny
She makes me laugh, she can be hilarious, the life of a party, silly, playful, and exciting.
#4 She is Our Home
She is the glue that pulls it all together—our family, our friends, our circles.
Whatever I do in my effort to be the best mate, BFF, husband, boyfriend, father—pales in comparison to what she brings to home life.
There is no home without her. Wherever she goes is home.
There can be no HOME without her blessing.
She IS the home. It is not a physical place.
It’s her presence, aura, something only she can create. She is the key to it.
Her presence is a blessing that none of us would trade anything in the world for.
#5 Her Affirmation
When I rise to the occasion, she cheerleads me. She praises me, flatters me, even brags about me.
There are times that I am a superhero in her eyes. I cherish those moments. I think it is a beautiful thing that probably many husbands never get to feel.
She is not critical. She does not nag.
#6 Her Sex is Incredible
We often orgasm together. She is adventurous and spontaneous. She initiates sexy times and is playful. She kisses passionately and often.
#7 Her Service and Generosity is Unmatched
She will literally wash our feet, our face, cook whatever we request, nourish us, nurse us, serve us, and her other loved ones, family, friends.
She serves as teachers’ aid, brings food to teachers and staff, hosts her friends and family day or night.
She tries so hard to please everyone—past the point of what is healthy for her.
She knows she can say no—but her heart is so full of love to give, and full of gratitude for what she has.
#8 Her Support
She makes me feel like I can pursue my passions—with her support.
For hobbies like skiing and hiking, mountain biking, career goals, guy time with friends, and daddy time with kids, doing some of those things (or just dates out with them).
#9 She Challenges Me
In many ways, to always grow, to be better. No stagnation. The bar is always higher than before.
Yet she is still accepting and understanding.
She is an excellent best friend. She is an excellent teammate.
She will compromise but still push and strive for our best.
She grounds me. She keeps me humble.
She models a better way for me—more open, more loving, more generous, living less guarded and more true self.
She reminds me that love and family and community truly matter more than anything else—
and that connection is at the core of it all—
and it’s fragile and needs to be cultivated carefully.
#10 Financial Maturity
She is thrifty, maintains good credit, splurges sometimes but generally does not waste money.
She values value.
She would find or wait to find something she liked at the second-hand instead of brand new from the department store.
#11
My worst days with her are still my best days of my life!!!
As long as we last—this period—will always be the richest, truest, most fulfilling section of my life ever.
Nothing could ever match our true love, our beginning, our story, our fighting for us—the struggle against everything else that has come between or hindered us.
