“The Thing I Was Chasing Was Me”

I used to think the treasure was somewhere far away. That if I built enough, helped enough, proved enough—I’d finally arrive. I’d finally be her.

But no matter how many projects I launched, how many relationships I tried to rescue, how many versions of myself I burned through… something still felt missing.

And now I see it:

I was never missing anything.

I was just disconnected from me.

The real me.

The soft one behind the smile.

The firestarter who questions everything.

The woman who gets excited about God and quantum physics in the same breath.

The Filipina who’s both healer and hurricane.

The mama, the builder, the baddie, the believer.

I realized…

The peace I craved in relationships?

That was my own nervous system asking me to rest.

The validation I looked for in other people?

That was my soul saying, “Baby, it’s always been you.”

I don’t need to over-explain anymore.

I don’t need to shrink so someone else can feel big.

I don’t need to prove I’m worthy of love, partnership, or success.

I am the source.

I am the magic.

And I am done abandoning myself just to be understood by someone not even listening.

So now?

I choose presence over performance.

Stillness over struggle.

Alignment over approval.

The treasure I’ve been searching for was never out there.

It was always the woman writing this right now.

The one who finally came home to herself.

And realized… she was the miracle all along.
